Fun & Fitness

Perhaps rolling out of bed Saturday morning to get laced up and hit the pavement isn't your idea of fun. Don't let that stop you from joining us! Following the 5k, we have a day full of spectacular, free events which are sure to enlighten and entertain anyone trying to live a healthier lifestyle this New Year.

Once the 5k finishes, we will host a Fun Run for the kids! This short course is sure to get their blood flowing, legs pumping and lungs filled with fresh air. Children will delight in kicking off the inaugural Family Fitness Fun Fair sponsored by Wuesthoff Health System. Fair with Flair

After the 5k and Fun Run, stick around for the Family Fitness Fun Fair! We've collected the best in local fitness centers, nutrition specialists, sports clubs, and outdoor adventures and are bringing them for you to explore.

Meet the history-making Viera High School Hawks who beat the odds by participating in the 2015 Football State Competition at the Citrus Bowl. Carrabba's and the Greek American Association of Brevard are sponsoring delicious healthy dining options and donating a portion of their proceeds to the Bluewater Foundation.

Vince Lamb, from Preserve Brevard will conduct mini-nature hikes while Anglers for Conservation  will hold a Fishing Clinic and Casting Contest. A limited supply of free fishing poles will be available for children.

If running, hiking and fishing aren't for you, maybe our live music will entice you to move.

The Family Fitness Fun Fair is the first step in a healthier, more fulfilling New Year--and is sure to have you ditching the phone and picking up the pedometer. We hope to see you there!

Bluewater Foundation is a charitable organization that supports the community's needs, primarily families who take in or adopt children or animals, including stewardship of wildlife.

“This is a way we can do what we do well — inform the community of the needs of those less fortunate and spotlight leaders and programs providing solutions — and invite the community’s investment and participation in the solution."  -- Founder Jill Blue-Gaines
